GetSimple vs. WebsiteBaker

The Battle for the Best

When it comes to CMS’s and which one is the best, it all depends on what you need them to do. GetSimple is one very easy to learn and use CMS. A beginner can have a website up and running in no time. I personally would use GetSimple for a simple website, and would recommend it to clients for its ease of use. However, for a more complex website it is crucial to use a more advanced, database driven CMS.

Other CMS’s such as WebsiteBaker offer far more than just the basic features of a CMS. WebsiteBaker is a database driven CMS which allows you to easily modify the content of your website as all of the content is stored in a database. This way you don’t have to sift through lines of code to change content or structure.

Functionality

When it comes to how each functions again it all depends on what you need to do. If you need to store lots of data and have it backed up regularly you’re going to want to use a database driven CMS. Other CMS’s are flat file and are stored as so on the systems server. Another thing to consider is using and design

ing templates. In my experience designing a template for GetSimple was way easier than Website Baker. There isn’t much of a difference though there is a specific way that you have to install templates for WB. All CMS’s are different and for their own reasons. I’m still on the hunt for my favorite, but between these two I enjoy using GetSimple far more than I do using Website Baker.
